I was born, not with a golden spoon in my mouth, but rather with a camera in my hand. While some children memorized the multiplication table, I memorized aperture and shutter speed combinations. Although I loved photography, I saw how my dad struggled to earn a living and decided I didn't want to follow in his footsteps. Ironically, shortly after I married, my husband decided to purchase a camera store, and so I never moved far away from photography. Over time, I became sole owner of one of the major professional independent camera stores on Long Island. I attended the Leica School, the Nikon School and the Rollei School. I taught photography, and wrote articles for trade publications. Eventually I sold the store, and spent a number of years working in the Audio Visual Industry and the Professional Broadcast Video Industry, where I was able to utilize my photographic background.
